ADNAN OKTAR: In the Armenian match there had been some points that attracted my attention. Now they have been entrusted by Allah to our safekeeping and they came here as our guests. It is very important to honor and please them there. Everything that might offend them there should be strictly avoided. And we have to make them feel that we watch out for them, that we do watch out for them, at least as much as we do for Azerbaijan. That is highly important. It appeared to me as if we couldn’t make them feel this sufficiently. That’s not a good thing. I mean they are coming here in search of love. They are coming here in search of affection. Because if they were to look for material interests they would go and unite with Russia, unite with other countries, they would have looked for other things. Their aim is love. They aim liberty, brotherhood, affection. We have to be able to present that to them, to these people with enthusiasm.
I mean our sons, whom we called the Loyal Nation, have been taken from us and have been put to a separate place. Still attempting to count the bones of the deceased, still giving statements on the television regarding that, let these come to an end. Such programs should be cancelled. And we should forget this issue already, I mean what happened in the past should be forgotten, the subject should be closed. And then we are to look for what will happen from this point on. Let them think that they started their life after 2009, let them think that they just came to this world. And let us attach our hearts to what will happen after this point. When they come here for the match it is highly important that they are favored at least as much as Azerbaijan and that our relations with them to be restored. Let us be much more keen on that the next time. Let us present this love to them. We should avoid an official wording, a wording that would hurt their feelings. I mean what we did was nice but was not sufficient. That is not how it should have been. They way I see it, the keen interest, love, affection was not sufficiently given. Insha’Allah. Because Azerbaijan is very dear to us, and Azerbaijan is a part of us and the Armenians are just as persecuted as they are, they are our brothers just as much as Azerbaijan. We should have approached them with such affection. Insha’Allah next time we will make it up to them in the details as well. Insha’Allah.
